So I'm rocking some pretty nasty toenail fungus…or what I THINK is fungus. I've never had it in my life. All I can say is that my big toenail on my right foot is growing in a strange manner; thick, VERY 'U' shaped, and is extremely painful to the touch. Additionally, the nail has turned completely white; almost mother of pearl in color. I'm female, and I've NEVER experienced more excruciating pain save when I had to have my forehead sewn up in an accident a few years ago. so I've been avoiding socks, I've also been soaking my feet in Epsom salt, and usually vinegar after that. just some internet advice I picked up….but it's not going away. I've also tried Tinactin to no avail. Could someone please tell me what this might be? I plan on going to the doc next week…but how might I receive some temporary relief?
Trust me, the problem has become so severe, I can barely bear weight on the foot. I know I need to go to the doctor, but I guess I thought I could handle it alone. just the way I was raised I guess lol. I'm a bit concerned it could be associated with diabetes type II as well, and though I haven't been diagnosed with it, it seems to run in obese members of my family. I could be considered obese….probably about 30 lbs overweight. any suggestions on how to find some relief or what this MIGHT be? Trust me, I don't expect a diagnosis, just advice. Thanks.
