I have a fungal infection on the side of my nail under my skin and it looks like a sliver of garlic but its green and dark in some areas but its kinda thin, just long. I applied Tea Tree Oil the day before yesterday and it spread to my nail over night (not THAT far though.) so if I apply this oil daily about 2-3 times, how long will it take for the fungus to go away? thanks.
Hello, your complete cure or to 'get the fungus to go away' depends entirely on the growth of your nail.
Typically fingernails grow about 3mm or 1/8th inch per month, and toenails about 1mm per month. so if your fingernail is about 12mm long expect around 4 months for the fungus to completely grow out with the nail. this is the only way as the fungus is underneath and within your nail. just keep applying, keep your nails clean, and be persistent and consistent.
I too suffered nail fungus and used the 'band-aid method' to apply the TTO. Watch the video at the top of the site at the link below in the source box and you'll see a couple ways to apply the oil to last all day and night long. you will see my nails there.
